The Great Dividing Trail runs for 301km through Central Victoria. It is made up of the Goldfields track, which offers 214km of hiking and mountain biking from Mount Buninyong to Bendigo (taking in Ballarat, Creswick, Daylesford and Castlemaine), and the Lerderderg Track, which adds another 87km from Bacchus Marsh to Daylesford.

The trail sits on top of the Great Dividing Range and passes lots of historical areas from the Goldrush era. It is split into five tracks:

  • Leanganook Track: Bendigo to Castlemaine (61km)
  • Dry Diggings Track: Castlemaine to Daylesford (58km)
  • Wallaby Track: Daylesford to Creswick (52km)
  • Eureka Track: Creswick to Ballarat to Mount Buninyong (43km)
  • Lerderderg Track: Daylesford to Bacchus Marsh (89km)
